Ο Stallone δημιούργησε μόνος του το μεγαλύτερο μέρος των σκηνών προπόνησης, θέλοντας η κάμερα να αποτυπώσει αληθινή κόπωση, αληθινό πόνο, αληθινή υπέρβαση.
Η παραγωγή επένδυσε σε πρωτοποριακή τότε steady-cam τεχνολογία, δίνοντας στο boxing match μια κινηματογράφηση που ακόμη και σήμερα θεωρείται undefeated.
